Es Molinar lies right by the sea east of Palma and can be reached from the centre in around ten minutes. The name recalls the windmills that once shaped the area. The former fishing and milling quarter has grown into one of the most popular residential areas on the coast. The seafront promenade, small squares and authentic atmosphere give Es Molinar a special charm. Daily life and getting around
Es Molinar lies just east of Portixol and is the quieter, more everyday of the two quarters. Supermarkets, bakers, pharmacies and doctors are on Carrer del Vicari Joaquim Fuster; the Ciutat Jardí beach is walkable.
The bayside cycle path runs uninterrupted into the centre, around twelve minutes by bike. Buses run along the shore road. The airport is ten minutes away.

Families and anyone who wants the sea and ordinary daily life at once. Es Molinar sits below Portixol on price at almost identical location — often the more sensible choice for longer stays.
