Llucmajor is the largest municipality in Mallorca by area, reaching from the Bay of Palma to the south coast. The town centre lies inland, around 25 minutes from Palma, and is a market and craft town with markets on Wednesdays and Fridays. The municipality also takes in s'Arenal on the Playa de Palma and several residential developments on the south coast. For a seasonal rental the distinction matters: the town centre is lively all year, while s'Arenal is strongly seasonal.
Daily life and getting around
Llucmajor town has supermarkets, doctors, schools and markets on Wednesdays and Fridays. It lies inland and has little in common with the coastal part of the municipality.
Palma is around 25 minutes on the Ma-19, the airport 20. s'Arenal on the Playa de Palma also belongs to the municipality and is reachable by bus.
